The project European Modernism in Performance Arts and Theories (EMPATH). Figures, Processes. Practices in the 20th Century aims at safeguarding the specific for the region cultural identity and traditions for creation of cultural bridge to Europe.

It is supported by the program of European Commission, Brussels Erasmus +, Jean Monnet, Activities 2020 – Modules Binding the national and European searches, processes and people in the field of performance arts will definitely give new opportunities and visions not only for students but also for the people in the region itself. The ambition of the project is to continue the developed policies of presenting academic products related to educational, innovative and practical important cultural activities that will form sustainable relationships with European values ​​and masterpieces with lasting results. The planned project activities include lecturing, participation in current seminar, workshops, round tables, conferences, publication of Compendium of lectures (textbook). The research activities of the project are also important, from the standpoint of the possibility of regular publications in scientific peer-reviewed journals and collected works and participation in international conferences, which will ensure transfer of knowledge from Bulgaria to Europe, but also from Europe to the region. The course includes 23 topics that will be presented in 70 hours over three academic years. It is based on a large number of bibliographic sources, as well as visual and documentary materials films as part of multifunctional education.
